    • References

Title and Author Information

  • Title: Capitalize all first letters (except prepositions), font size 14, bold, single-spaced, centered, maximum 15 words.

  • Authors’ names written under the title (First Authorᵃ, Second Authorᵇ, etc.).

  • Each superscript (ᵃ, ᵇ, ᶜ) refers to: faculty, affiliation, and email.

  • Authors must include an active WhatsApp number to ensure communication regarding manuscript progress.

  • Below this, include “Article History: Submitted date; Accepted date; Published date”.

Abstract and Keywords

  • Abstract length: 100–200 words, one paragraph.

  • Font: Times New Roman, size 11, single-spaced, indented 1 cm from left and right margins.

  • Abstract must be written in English, containing research objective, methodology, and main findings.

  • Do not use symbols, special characters, or formulas in the title or abstract.

  • Keywords: 3–5 words/phrases, font size 11.

Section Guidelines

Introduction

  • Must explain:

    • Research problem (problem statement).

    • State of the art (what others have done over time).

    • Gaps or unexplored potentials in previous studies.

    • Concepts offered to fill these gaps.

    • Objectives of the present work.

  • Authors must show alignment with the journal’s aim and scope, explain novelty, research urgency, supporting facts, and data, supported by original and recent references.

Methodology

  • Clearly describe:

    • Type of research.

    • Sampling technique.

    • Data collection procedures (linked to each research question).

    • Role of the researcher (for qualitative studies: interaction with participants, background, etc.).

    • Data analysis procedures (linked to each research question).

    • Data validation techniques.

Result and Discussion

  • Present results using tables/figures/charts where relevant, followed by critical interpretation with appropriate theory.

  • Table captions: placed above the table, numbered sequentially; vertical lines omitted; only necessary horizontal lines retained; one page accommodates a table/figure up to two-thirds of page size.

  • Figure captions: placed below the figure with sequential numbering.

  • Sections and subsections must be clearly numbered (1, 1.1, 1.1.1, etc.), each heading on a separate line; abstract is not numbered.

  • Use bullet and numbered lists as needed according to the template examples.

  • Discussion must:

    • Interpret findings quantitatively/qualitatively based on design.

    • Compare findings with previous studies (supporting or contradicting) and explain reasons.

    • Explain position of findings toward hypotheses (if any).

    • State strengths, novelty, and limitations (e.g., small sample, measurement limitations) and implications for future research.

Conclusion

  • Summarize main findings in line with research objectives and discussion.

  • Indicate contribution to the broader field and possible suggestions for future studies.

  • Do not simply repeat the abstract or list results; conclusions must present clear scientific statements.

References

  • Use APA style (latest edition) for in-text citations and reference list.

  • References should be approximately 25 sources.

  • Journal article references should generally be not older than 10 years; books may be older if still relevant.

  • Authors are required to cite articles from SELJU published in previous issues where relevant.

  • It is recommended to use reference managers such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote.

  • Reference list: single-spaced, Times New Roman, font size 12.

If you wish, a more formal web-ready “Author Guidelines” section can be formatted into numbered points for direct insertion into the journal’s website.
